TIPS FOR WINNING

Our new Pricebenders penny auctions at TripleClicks have been a huge hit.  But we've observed a lot of bidders engaging in counter-productive actions that are actually costing them auction wins! Fortunately, many of these actions boil down to common--and avoidable--mistakes. 

One of the biggest mistakes we're observing is people waiting too long to bid. Connectivity issues, computer crashes, latency (network delays), and other factors may interfere with your bid. If you wait till the last few seconds to bid, you're running the risk that your bid won't go through in time. And make sure you understand that when you bid, it just resets the auction clock, so being the last one to bid before the clock hits zero may just keep you from winning if your bid is delayed by one of the afore-mentioned technical issues.  If your strategy is to wait until the "last possible moment," we recommend bidding with NO LESS THAN 5 seconds remaining.

Of course, as mentioned, this is just ONE of the mistakes that many are making.  To help everyone out, we've gathered a list of 15 common sense do's and don'ts to help you win Pricebenders auctions. It's a quick but essential read for anyone wanting to participate successfully in our penny auctions.



Tips & Strategies For Winning Pricebenders™ Auctions

There seems to be no limit to the number of tips and strategies out there on the Internet about how to win penny auctions and spend the least number of bids to do it. Trouble is, there seems to be little consensus on many matters. Some “experts” recommend using auto-bid tools, others warn against them. Some stress intricate strategy and mathematical accuracy of bid timing and amounts. Others claim that winning is most simply a matter of bidding at the right time.

However, what most DO agree on is that preparing yourself and practicing a few, clear penny auction do's and don'ts could save you a lot of money AND increase your chances of winning. For preparation, read (and re-read if necessary) the “How It Works” article HERE. Then, before placing a bid for a Pricebenders™ auction item, be sure to familiarize yourself with these essential do's and don'ts:

Pricebenders™ Do's

DO...determine a bid budget and stick to it.

DO...watch the auction timer. If the counter almost reaches zero again and again before starting over, it means that there are probably not very many members bidding on that item...and that means your chances of winning are higher.

DO...consider some of the less-expensive items. Generally, fewer people bid on cheaper items and, again, fewer bidders mean your chances of winning are higher.

DO...time your bids wisely. This is a vital factor to winning. Bidding right after the start of an auction, for example, is usually a wasted bid.

DO...observe the auctions and list of recently won auction items to determine the best time of day that consistently have the fewest bidders (generally, the lower the winning price, the less bidders there were).

DO...enter the "Pick-the-Price" contest (located adjacent to all Pricebenders feature auctions). There's no cost to enter and it's simple, easy, and fun! Just log in at TripleClicks at the start of each new feature auction and submit the amount you think will be the winning price of the item. Yes, you can enter each time we start a new auction...so multiple times every day you have another chance to win! If you pick the final price exactly right, you immediately win 200 free TCredits, a $58 value! If no one picks the exact, final price, 50 free TCredits is awarded to the person(s) whose prediction was the closest without going over.

DO...purchase your TCredits for bids in bulk if you can. In this way, you'll minimize your cost per TCredit (as low as $0.29 each) and ensure you'll have as many as you need to complete an auction. Running out of TCredits at the last moment can be costly...and heartbreaking!

DO...if you're on the TripleClicks homepage, check out the auction item's description page by clicking the item name. In this way, you'll be sure to know EXACTLY what you are bidding on and avoid unpleasant surprises later. You'll also be able to see the bid log listing all bidders for this item. Tip: Click on a bidder's name to see their TripleClicks "TConnect" Webpage to learn more about him or her.

DO...use Pricebender's Auto-Bidder with care! This useful tool can ensure your bids are entered automatically, so you won't have to stand by monitoring an auction...but it should be used carefully and with your budget in mind. Tip: Let's say you think an item's final price is going to be $5.75. A smart auto-bid might be to set up, say, 10 TCredits for between $5.50 and $6.00. Of course, keep in mind that if the price never reaches $5.50, none of your bids will be placed. Conversely, if the price goes beyond $6.00, someone else may win the auction after your ten TCredits have been automatically bid.

DO...read Pricebenders Rules & Policies and be sure you understand the rules and limits for participating in the penny auctions.


Pricebenders™ Don'ts

DON'T...spend more on an auction than you are willing to lose.

DON'T...wait too long to bid. Connectivity issues, computer crashes, latency (network delays), and other factors may interfere with your bid. If you wait till the last few seconds to bid, you're running the risk that your bid won't go through in time. DON'T...get overly excited when bidding. You'll be more likely to break your budget and/or use your TCredits up faster than you need to.

DON'T...get in a bidding war with other bidders. If you can, sit back and let others battle and use their TCredits trying to out-bid each other.

DON'T...pick an item on which to bid just because it looks like only a few members are bidding on it. A lot of members wait until the last few moments to bid. So while it may look like only a few bidders are interested, dozens more are probably watching and waiting—particularly if it's a popular item.

Q: I was not in EE in November.  How do I now sign up for W3?
A: We'll begin taking orders for the new W3 starter kit in about ten days.  Watch for the announcement.

Q: What's in the new W3 starter kit?
A: The W3 starter kit includes a new 3" x 18" TripleClicks.com automobile decal; a W3 membership card; a supply of X-Cards for referring new W3 members, and a "Getting Started" guide.  (Components and quantities subject to change.)

Q: The ad copy states that you can earn $100's in weekly cash drawings and unlimited additional TCredits and MRP.  How?
A: For every W3 member you refer, you receive 5 matching TCredits and 50 matching MRP.  Each referred W3 member also gets you an entry in a new weekly W3 cash drawing.  Win up to $250 every week.

Q: How do I refer a W3 member?
A: A brand new gateway is on the way.  There are also brand new X-Cards, fliers, banners, etc. coming later this month.

Q: You say that sign-ups generated by W3 members flow into S-Builder Co-op and are assigned to an SFI affiliate, but what if I am an SFI affiliate AND a W3 member?
A: If you're both, then of course all sign-ups you generate become your personally referred members.  Sign-ups flow into S-Builder only when the referring individual is a W3 member only and not an affiliate.

Q: What about all the eyeearn.com stuff that's out there...all the eyeearn decals, X-cards, T-shirts, banners, etc.?
A: Everything will automatically redirect to the new W3 gateway.  And if it's an EE URL that contains or is tied to your individual SFI ID number, this too will redirect so you are credited and recorded as the referrer.

Q: If a prospect of mine become a W3 member, does that mean they can't become an SFI affiliate?
A: No, that's up to you.  If you want to sell them on becoming an SFI affiliate, you can just direct them to www.sfimg.com/convert where they can become an SFI affiliate free at any time.

Q: Wouldn't it make sense for SFI to try to get all W3 members to become SFI affiliates?
A: Not really.  First of all, we have a legal mandate to have a strong focus on retail sales and to teach our affiliate to do the same.  If everyone is an affiliate, there can be no retail sales.  Ideally, at least 80% of all revenue should come from non-affiliates.  Secondly, understand that by referring members (non-SFI affiliates), you maximize your Customer Commissions (earn up to 72% of the CV).  Also, you earn 100% of the VP on all purchases of your personally referred members (you earn ZERO VP on the purchases of your personally sponsored affiliates).  This allows you to earn all of your EA- and/or Team Leader-qualifying VersaPoints without ever having to purchase anything yourself.  Thirdly, not everyone wants to be in business for themselves.  All that said, as noted in the previous Q&A, if you wish to, you're welcome to encourage your TC members to become SFI affiliates by using the /convert link.  We leave that totally up to you.

Q: What if I don't want to sign up a lot of TC members and would rather focus on signing up SFI affiliates?
A: First of all, participation in W3 is completely optional. Secondly, EE was always redundant to the numerous marketing tools, aids, gateways, etc. available to you for sponsoring SFI affiliates.  If you wish to focus on sponsoring affiliates, that's great, and you have literally hundreds of resources at your disposal for doing this.

Q: What is the name, WAVE3, supposed to mean?
A: Think of it as a marketing wave for TripleClicks and the "3" referring to the "triple" in TripleClicks.  By becoming a W3 member, you become part of the wave, you "make waves" by helping us spread the word about TC to the public.

Q: Is this it...or will there be more to W3?

Check Issue Policy

If you are committed to getting a check, you must ask for it via our Back Office chat feature or via email at check@efoodsglobal.com. When you request a check, you are agreeing to the following terms:

  • Checks are outside our normal method of payment and requires manual maintenance. This maintenance has a $3.50 fee associated with each check produced, and will be applied accordingly to your account.
  • A check will be generated once you have achieved the minimum amount of $35. If for some reason you have not accumulated the minimum check amount of $35, then your earnings will be placed on your IBO account ledger and paid out once you have achieved it.
  • Checks are printed every other Friday and mailed out on the following Monday.

Founders' Pool Closes on Monday, November 15 [Commission Bonus]

On Monday, November 15, the Founders' Pool for the United States will be closed forever! We're hosting an official corporate call that evening at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET (Dial-in: 512-225-3101, Access code: 836492#).

 

Starting Tuesday, November 16, we’ll start to calculate all the shares and post them in your Back Office so you can see how many you’ve earned. It will probably take about two weeks to finish that process. We won’t mention the Founders' Pool after Monday, but if you are a Founder, you will have information about it in your Back Office. We will pay Founders' Pool commissions in July 2011; we normally pay quarterly, but the first payment will be an exception.

 

What Happens to the Commissions Tree?

Contact everyone who has not yet signed up as an IBO and make sure they do before the 15th or they won’t be in the tree and won’t have access to the Back Office. You have just a little over three days to get them to convert to an IBO at $29.95 and hold their spot in the Binary Tree for one year. You'll also earn more Founders' Pool shares when they become IBOs.

 

Anyone who doesn't convert to an IBO will become a preferred customer. Starting November 16, you'll have a preferred customer area in your Back Office so you can see all the people who have been moved into the customer tree. You'll still have access to your customers and can work with them to see if they want to become an IBO at some point in the future. 

 

These names will also be removed from the binary tree, and you'll see temporary placeholders; over the next few months we'll work on cleaning those placeholders manually.

If you take a look at your Team Commissions (Binary) Tree, you may or may not notice eFoods Global Placeholders where some of your pre-registrants used to be. On November 15, we transitioned all pre-registrants (people you signed up before the company’s launch on October 20) and placed them in a new area of your Back Office called your Preferred Customer Tree. You can find this information in your Tree View navigation as a new tab titled Preferred Customer. You can still work with your Preferred Customers and invite them to become IBOs at a later date, but you will have to place them in the Binary Tree again. Over the next month we will trim down the placeholders that are currently in the Tree.

Exciting Back Office Updates


The Back Office brings another set of enhancements that will be in place on Friday afternoon!


 


Auto Replenishment Orders. Not only will you be able to view your ARO status more easily, but you’ll be able to visualize the ARO status of your team in three different areas:



  • Binary tree—rollover the names of your IBOs and get a quick view of their ARO status

  • Personal Enrollment—see who is and who is not enrolled with an ARO

  • More locations—see ARO status under genealogy tab, drilldown, and the level tab.


Remember that you need to have a minimum of 80 PQV every four-week period to remain active.


 


Color Code Ranks. By Friday afternoon you will also see a color code that will help you differentiate growth in ranks and titles among members of your team. Ranks include IBO, eIBO, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Emerald, and Diamond.


 


Have You Placed Your Auto Replenishment Order?


Can you believe it’s been four weeks since we’ve launched eFoods Global? Those of you who joined between October 20 and October 31 and want to remain Active will need to make sure you have either earned 80 PQV or placed your Auto Replenishment Order (ARO). You can sign up for your ARO under the My Profile tab and select the Auto Replenishment Order Option. Select Week 1, which has the next ship date of 11/22/10.


 


Thanks to the new Back Office ARO statistics, you’ll be busy on Friday and Saturday and Sunday to make sure your group and your personal enrollees are actively enrolled on ARO and qualified to receive commissions within the four-week qualification period!

Tips & Strategies For Winning Pricebenders™ Auctions

There seems to be no limit to the number of tips and strategies out there on the Internet about how to win penny auctions and spend the least number of bids to do it. Trouble is, there seems to be little consensus on many matters. Some “experts” recommend using auto-bid tools, others warn against them. Some stress intricate strategy and mathematical accuracy of bid timing and amounts. Others claim that winning is most simply a matter of bidding at the right time.

However, what most DO agree on is that preparing yourself and practicing a few, clear penny auction do's and don'ts could save you a lot of money AND increase your chances of winning. For preparation, read (and re-read if necessary) the “How It Works” article HERE. Then, before placing a bid for a Pricebenders™ auction item, be sure to familiarize yourself with these essential do's and don'ts:

Pricebenders™ Do's

DO...determine a bid budget and stick to it.

DO...watch the auction timer. If the counter almost reaches zero again and again before starting over, it means that there are probably not very many members bidding on that item...and that means your chances of winning are higher.

DO...consider some of the less-expensive items. Generally, fewer people bid on cheaper items and, again, fewer bidders mean your chances of winning are higher.

DO...time your bids wisely. This is a vital factor to winning. Bidding right after the start of an auction, for example, is usually a wasted bid.

DO...observe the auctions and list of recently won auction items to determine the best time of day that consistently have the fewest bidders (generally, the lower the winning price, the less bidders there were).

DO...enter the "Pick-the-Price" contest (located adjacent to all Pricebenders feature auctions). There's no cost to enter and it's simple, easy, and fun! Just log in at TripleClicks at the start of each new feature auction and submit the amount you think will be the winning price of the item. Yes, you can enter each time we start a new auction...so multiple times every day you have another chance to win! If you pick the final price exactly right, you immediately win 200 free TCredits, a $58 value! If no one picks the exact, final price, 50 free TCredits is awarded to the person(s) whose prediction was the closest without going over.

DO...purchase your TCredits for bids in bulk if you can. In this way, you'll minimize your cost per TCredit (as low as $0.29 each) and ensure you'll have as many as you need to complete an auction. Running out of TCredits at the last moment can be costly...and heartbreaking!

DO...if you're on the TripleClicks homepage, check out the auction item's description page by clicking the item name. In this way, you'll be sure to know EXACTLY what you are bidding on and avoid unpleasant surprises later. You'll also be able to see the bid log listing all bidders for this item. Tip: Click on a bidder's name to see their TripleClicks "TConnect" Webpage to learn more about him or her.

DO...use Pricebender's Auto-Bidder with care! This useful tool can ensure your bids are entered automatically, so you won't have to stand by monitoring an auction...but it should be used carefully and with your budget in mind. Tip: Let's say you think an item's final price is going to be $5.75. A smart auto-bid might be to set up, say, 10 TCredits for between $5.50 and $6.00. Of course, keep in mind that if the price never reaches $5.50, none of your bids will be placed. Conversely, if the price goes beyond $6.00, someone else may win the auction after your ten TCredits have been automatically bid.

DO...read Pricebenders Rules & Policies and be sure you understand the rules and limits for participating in the penny auctions.


Pricebenders™ Don'ts

DON'T...spend more on an auction than you are willing to lose.

DON'T...wait too long to bid. Connectivity issues, computer crashes, latency (network delays), and other factors may interfere with your bid. If you wait till the last few seconds to bid, you're running the risk that your bid won't go through in time. And make sure you understand that when you bid, it just resets the auction clock, so being the last one to bid before the clock hits zero gains you little if anything...and may just keep you from winning if your bid is delayed by one of the afore-mentioned technical issues.

DON'T...get overly excited when bidding. You'll be more likely to break your budget and/or use your TCredits up faster than you need to.

DON'T...get in a bidding war with other bidders. If you can, sit back and let others battle and use their TCredits trying to out-bid each other.

DON'T...pick an item on which to bid just because it looks like only a few members are bidding on it. A lot of members wait until the last few moments to bid. So while it may look like only a few bidders are interested, dozens more are probably watching and waiting—particularly if it's a popular item.
