This review is from: 150cc four wheelers 23 "tires with reverse, black (various)
In the last few months we have been searching for a local classified adds on the quads around 2000 dollars in price, but have had no luck, what is worth a flip. Then the family got one of these machines coolster 150cc. we test drove it and had to get one.

Now we ordered from scooterland and the service has been great dealing with them. Once we have received it, which took 5 working days from the date of our order, we were super excited. Also prior to our purchase, we knew that was only 85% assembled. What needs to be built was the handlebar, foot plates, discs front rack/Grill, rear carrier, break light, all 4 wheels and that it is. The battery is empty and only fill the battery with acid, which is included into another container. Everything was very easy and it took about 3-4 hours. Just be sure to have a socket set and it will be good.

Now, on the performance of the 4kolář. It's a little slow to take off, but once it starts, this unit has some sort of power. Runs great, are just about to have one person on this thing, at the time, but we had two adults, will be widely open and leave the beat. Although, I don't think that is mentioned in the description of how the majority of 4-wheelers do they have pull handles, as a secondary method is to run, it has to boot. Yes, just like on a motorcycle. That is how I grew up riding a 4koláři, I'd much prefer to use handles, boot, than pull the crank, any day of the week. OH Yes, it does not come with any oil, so get some 4 1040 oil, funnel comes in handy as well.

We bought this black camouflage model, which is blue in color selection combo box. Don't ask, I'm not sure why, but it is not important. Wife loves this atv and wants to ride every day, its ideal for her. She and I drove along a lot. Normally I don't write Reviews if the product does not have any reviews and I think it was a great buy. One further note that there is no problem on this ATV to tow, etc. However, it would be likely to rig up something with the rope. Gravel, through the Woods, or asphalt, we tested it and it runs well. Stay safe and save a lot of money to buy one of them, you do not need to spend thousands more on Honda, Yamaha or any of marketed brands. If problems come up, we'll update. We was riding them hard for a week.

I noticed a couple of people who have problems with the drive roll. If this hard drive and still rotates once. In addition, not done any work on this drive without putting more gas in the tank. We loaded the front and rear of the rack with 80 pounds of salt each and still my son and wife drove around with no problems. It sucks that others have problems, but we take care of our equipment

Icesuit best that you buy.(Book Review)

I bought this icesuit last year because I did a lot of research on different ice Frabill Clam to other brands that I found on other sites and I concluded that probably would have been better. I spoke with some ice fishermen in Michigan, Wisconsin, to see what they were doing for icesuites and a good amount of them used the Frabill Icesuits and each of them said it was the best you could buy Icesuit so I decided to listen to them and go with this Icesuit and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Colorado ice fish and I've been in some pretty cold storms that met the lakes and I got this costume and it was amazing, it never got cold out my ice hut in the cold wind blows snow and ice on the ice. This costume has lots of pockets on the pants and coat, and also has pockets on the chest. Pants have a solid tissue around the knee area so when you're on your knees, don't cut your knee on the ice surface and the area is padded. The two pieces are very well made and are made of strong materials that are cheap or sewn together economically. The dress is beautiful strong zippers on pockets. The combination works so well that when I'm in the ice cabin that I have to remove my coat, because it is so hot with it on. The pants have zippers on the side saddle to zip them up and put on your boots and connect without problems then the zip of the hinge down for a nice tight fit around your boots. The pants also have a zipper that you can open it when you need to go to the bathroom without having to remove the coat and undo your shoulder straps and pull everything down, very interesting feature) the coat also comes with a face guard to protect you from the wind and blowing snow that works very well in windy days. This will be the first and last Icesuit will buy ever, I recommend this Icesuit I give it a 5 on 5.

Organic Non-Slip Cotton Socks An Absolutely Stunning Product.

TractionSocks® Non-Slip Organic Cotton Socks - Value Pack of Three Pairs
This picture was me before 23 K $ socks, now I'm banana,

All my life, I had been buying 3 pairs of socks for less than $23,000 thinking that I knew what was happening. Then I saw these. Okay, they were a few thousand more that I normally pay, but after having spent my life looking like this guy on the photo - dead and stunned on the ground of all the skins of bananas in the world, I decided to try a pair.

What can I say? I walk like a normal human being. Banana peels darning. Me in my cheap socks, keeping the price tag on, so everyone knows that my status is at my feet. Am I hitting the banana of life all peels, I walk through the fruit market, confident and secure, even though I'm obviously bananas or a banana short of a bunch.

The company is a scam, but the product is absolutely beautiful!

This weekend, I bought these socks and when they came, I noticed on the Bill that the company snuck $5 on the Bill for shipping! OUTRAGEOUS! I contacted the company immediately and when they have responded to the phone, you could hear Celine Dion in the background singing 'Falling into You' and my ears started to bleed leaving me unable to complain!

However, enough about the company when I bought these, I immediately tried these at my local rink during the hockey practice, and they were UNBELIEVABLE! Not only were they like walking on asphalt, but my feet were in the process of mail! It was so wonderful that I started to unleash a rain of chi during hockey practice and everyone began to levitate! I can't wait to see what other hidden functions there in organic cotton slip socks!

They will knock your socks off!

I made $ 10,000 bet with a pol who will remain nameless that he could do his Risky Business dance in these socks on the floor of one of its "cottages" and that he would never fall. He said that he wouldn't take the bet, unless he is guaranteed to win.

EH well, his attitude of Mr. Burns ("I would give all my money away if I could have just a little more.") takes the magnificence of these are socks not one iota. The traction of the socks is so good, that I pour me olive oil on my treadmill when I engaged in them.

Once I tested at a local bar. I gave the blonde good walked in the bar stool next to me some lip. When she wanted to "take away", I had started my shoes and he through "consider here." She gave me punch in the teeth after another, but did drop? Nosiree! I held my own. In fact, I had free drinks for the rest of the night. It was useful, because my gums were sore and bleeding from all the teeth I had lost.

I know that they are a bit expensive, but we protected-class people can appreciate a good buy when you see. If you are one of us, I know you want, also.

Only the way of travelling,

I was going to use the 20 K for a new car and not for three pairs of socks, but everyone is going green so I went for the socks - organic socks with TRACTION! Comfortable with excellent top elastic and the best traction goshawk - even better than Goodyear! These socks allowed me to go get the newspaper at the end of a covered walkway of ice and I did not slip and fall once! This buy 20 K probably prevented a medical bill of 100 K - I only had these socks for about a year and I am already 80 K in advance! What is an investment! With enough hard work and discipline, I should save enough money in a few years so I can wear a clean pair for each day of the week!

DuroMax XP10000E 10,000 Watt 16 HP OHV 4-Cycle Gas Powered Portable Generator With Wheel Kit And Electric Start.(Best Seller)
Tue 19 Feb 2013

10000 Watts peak/8000 Watt continuous
8.3 Gallon Gas tank
Electric Start/includes battery key
EPA approved
Low oil auto shut-off

Product description

Safeguard your family as well as provide portable energy for work and play with DuroMax XP10000E generator gas-powered, that features an OHV air-cooled engine 16.0-horses that cranks out 8,000 watt running power constant (and a 10,000 watt peak; to learn more about the wattage needs below). It includes both a standard recoil start and easy electric start.

This sturdy workhorse is ideal for construction sites where power saws, drills and other equipment is critical, but it can depend on it for emergencies at home-insurance that your appliances are running smoothly, reliably and without interruption. EPA approved is also safe to use in the national parks of the United States thanks to super quiet exhaust with spark arrestors.

Note for California residents: this model is not compatible with CARB. Units sold in California must conform to CARB.

Fully loaded Power Panel of XP10000E includes two 120 volt, 20 amp household outlets standard to supply power to all your appliances, and a powerful 120/240 volt, 30 amp output twist lock for high-powered tools. A 12-volt DC output port functions as a charger for rechargeable batteries and other devices. It also includes one from 120 volt, 30 amp twist lock exit and exit 120/240 volts, 50-amp heavy duty (NEMA 14-50 to 3 poles, 4-wire).

The exclusive DuroMax RV Switch (voltage selector) allows you to get maximum performance from each of the containers from 120 volt as well as choose between simultaneously running the generator to both 120 and 240 volts or 120 only with full power.

Never Overload a problem with its double-33 amp switch. A voltmeter allows you to monitor the output range of your generator at all times, and the battery charge indicator light lets you know when it is charging the starter battery.

With an electric starter, it is easier to get this generator going as turning on your car. And if the battery is not fully charged, you can use the single-cable pull recoil to start the generator.

XP10000E features a heavy duty steel chassis roll cage with four fully isolated motor mounts points for smooth and silent operation. This generator is also easy to transport thanks to the wheel kit with a flip-up handle, stow away. The 10-1/2-inch all-terrain Tires flat, never offer the flexibility and looks like a pneumatic tire without the rigidity of a solid rubber-improve mobility through both soft ground and hard surfaces.

You'll get up to 10 hours of operation (at 50 percent) by a 8.3 liter tank of fuel. Other features include a muffler a, a regulator (AVR) automatic voltage and a low oil protection system that automatically shuts off the generator to protect it from damage should short oil. Is backed by a one year limited warranty.

Your generator needs

To determine if a generator is suitable for your needs, you must first add the power of tools, equipment and engines that you want to run at the same time. Then select a generator with the running wattage to match or exceed the total load.

Keep in mind that the instruments and appliances with electric motors require additional power when starting impulse that can be double or triple the power requirement in normal execution. Look at the Watts peak demand and make sure that you choose a generator with enough additional power to start. (And remember that you are generally not leaving more than half of the elements at the same time).

excellent so far(Review)

I was worried about buying this generator, why not have a network of service centres ... they tell you to take it to any small engine shop near you and contact him on charges in warranty. I called their cust svc and talked to them of the need for third-party verification regarding the parts needed and assured me that no one was required ... I could fix it myself if I wanted to ... Just call them and tell them what I needed and send. That seemed fair enough. It took a little over a week to get my generator and was delivered by freight USF Holland and arrived in excellent condition ... hats off to Holland. I had the liftgate delivery and claimed that large seeds up to the door of my garage ... took his truck and set the small ski was bandaged for the center of my garage ... has not required any help ... I never touched until he was gone. These are packed in a cardboard box and packing is well-designed ... foam thickness all sides ... top and bottom ... all loose parts ... wheel kit ... etc ... in their little corner in the foam. Is very heavy but you can get it assembled and working ski off alone ... I did it and I at 62 years of age.I pulled the front until it dominated the ski about 10 "wheel kit Assembly and then pivoted a backside until radial and assembled who then blocked the strut rear strut with a 4 x 4 and off-road pulled the shoe and the other strut Assembly. I filled it with good synthetic blend oil and put on a gallon of gas in it. I turned on the fuel valve ... located a few inches to the right of the starter handle. I pulled the handle to choke all the way out and tried to start it with the key ... the battery was completely dead.I took it out and put it on the charger and the battery locked out my tractor in it and tried to start it. It was running almost before I could let go of the key. These units all have a Powermax minimum control over them so there is no speed adjustments of any kind can and none needed. Idles very fast ... all LGs do ... they must produce. It ran smoothly with no significant floating in motor speed. Then I took my voltmeter and checked the output on all Poles carrying current on all containers. I had a 119 volt constant everywhere. With a target of 120 I considered this is excellent ... my current House won't hold it. The reason that I bought this great unit was firstly that I had hoped it would start and run my air conditioner large window ... is huge ... 30 k btu. I connected the cable I had bought into the 240v L14-30 on the generator and ran inside the House and hooked up the cable conversion that I had going on tap 6-30 on the air conditioner and switched on. Fired up with no bogging down and I never noticed the engine the genny pick at all. I let it run a half-hour about ... let the compressor on the air conditioner cycle off and on many times and seen the voltmeter on the genny. It is never moved ... really never taken engine speed is so this generator works that great air conditioner effortlessly on it at all ... I was very relieved. Other things that I plan to run during an outage did not approach even pulse requirements of that great air conditioner so that the issue was put to rest. It turned out that my battery was not okay ... don't hold a charge even for half an hour. I called and told them MaxTool and true to their word there was no hassle ... they sent me a new battery FexEx and shipped at no charge. I was wondering if maybe I had been sent a generator that was sitting in inventory a year or so, but no ... the data label on it indicates a date MFG of May 2007 ... I bought at the end of August, so I got a brand new ... just had a faulty cell. I tried the start pull several times and always starts one pull. I go out about once every two weeks and start it and let it run awhile to get good oil through it ... keep a trickle maintenance charger on it all the time. I can't speak to what will in time but out of the box is everything that was promised to be ... I love so far. I almost bought a Coleman, but those units got horrible reviews ... rampant with quality problems ... gas spill everything ... horrible vibration problems ... etc ... They also have no control idle and most no electric starter and are horribly overpriced. I'm glad I bought this Powermax ... couldn't be happier at this point ... good luck to you.

Look at the Watts peak demand and make sure that you choose a generator with enough additional power to start. (And remember that you are generally not leave more than half of the elements at the same time). Here is a sampling of common appliances for powers. Consumer XP8500E review I finally decided to ' pull the trigger ' and get a generator. Living in Connecticut, having the power go out 5 times in the last two years and have no power for more than two days is not fun. When looking for a generator I researched alot of them but wanted certain characteristics. I found them all in XP8500. Here we go: Postage: This item shipped free and thankfully-weighs over 200 kg. 225 to be exact. The item shipped via FedEx that was another blessing. FedEx freight called and delivered on time with the package in perfect condition. It took about a week to arrive after my order. Perfect. MaxTool was great-communication was solid and were very helpful with answering my questions. Here's what I was looking for in a generator: Voltmeter Gas meter at least 8000W electric start with pull start backup 4 120v outputs a drive with a muffler auto idle Carb meets at least 15HP engine Assembly: As mentioned earlier, this thing is heavy. Once mounted the wheels kit carts around nicely even if the handles are short-I'll get into that later. So, here is what I did that made things easier if you don't have help. First, cut the box with a box cutter knife on angles as well fold the flaps. Now get three 2 x 4 of each about three meters in length and superimposing them. This will give you enough space to get both feet attached as well as the wheels. Start with the end that will have your feet. Raise this end and sliding the battery 2 x 4 below. attach the feet, each two dice. Now, you have your foot on one side that you can use 2 x 4 on the other end where the wheels. Same thing on this end with a twist. Attach the two axle nuts and bolts each side. Now, lift the side just a bit so you can slide the wheels on. Once they have slipped on can be fixed with a PIN. Remove the 2 x 4 and move the handles that were easy to assemble. Now fill the case with oil. The unit is not equipped with oil. Take SAE 10W30. The battery is fully charged. Connect the battery clamps, fill with fresh gas and you are ready to go! The entire process took about half an hour. Operation/departure: The generator started immediately. Pull the cable or turn the key and BAM! Push the air halfway then open all the way) and idles nicely. This generator is quiet! I have a half acre and in front of the House you couldn't hear the generator running in the back yard. So I decided to start testing with the pool. Yes, I ran a cable to my pool filter and went from minimum to maximum. The pool filter off no problem. For me this will be three essential things power during an outage: refrigerator, freezer and tankless water heater. I've connected everything and this thing worked with ease. Full throttle start wasn't as strong as I thought it would be-my lawnmower is just loud. Storage: I got it covered here at Amazon for $ 10. Does the trick and keep the dust off the drive until I need it. Everything about this generator is easy to get too, see and adjust. Even without the manual at hand we have stickers everywhere showing what each item is and what information you should know about this item. For example, the gas valve has a sticker on it with the tag and the position of which is on or off. Each component has a sticker over it. So, you can drain the gas easily using a 10 MM wrench to loosen the gas filter Cup and remove. Take a plastic soda bottle with the top cut off and you can catch the dripping gas. Obviously do this after running the engine dry. As for the gas, each time filling my 5 gallon tank always put at least two ounces of Stabil in it. You should too! Disconnect the positive battery terminal before coverage. Put a border for the wheels-concrete can do bad things to the wheels if they sit for a long time. Unhappy notes: Oil: The drive does not come with oil. There was no problem, as I went to the local car parts store and got two litres of SAE 10W30 synthetic engine oil. The generator takes 37 1.1 ounces or liters. One liter has 32 ounces in it, so you will need two litres. Start it up with a liter filled, let the oil to move into the engine, turn it off then top off. However, filling with my long nose funnel was a breeze-very easy to get to. Wheels: The instructions say to make sure the filling valve is facing when attaching wheels. Well, this unit came with air filled tires but there is no valve! This worries me because if I need to fill in the air, well, as will do it? Loose tires with air pressure. I just wish they were solids through off-air non-and I hope that they stay inflated. Handles: Put the handles was easy however are short. I stand 5 ' 8 "and when you drive karting slow walking. Someone taller than me would have an awkward angle when you walk so close to the generator. The handles are just 10 inches long, then you are very near the generator when you walk. In addition, the muffler you faces when you walk, so you have to be careful when grasping the handle right as is just in front of the muffler. HOT Wrap-up: PRO: Quick start or by pulling the cord or turning the key electric starter 7000W running 8500W power surg 7 gallon gas tank with gas gauge Voltmeter Muffler on the engine Four AC 120V outlets Easy to read information stickers located throughout the car Switch Drive low Oil shut off Auto idle switch QUIET-72 dBA Four rubber motor mounts Engine OHV 16HP engine Parts/engine parts are all within walking distance CONS: Wheels-without inflation valve-air loss apartments = new tyres?? Handles-short length Does not come with oil-you need to purchase 2 Qts of SAE 10W30 Update: 10/31/2011 Well, in CT we had our first storm of the season and of course the power is gone. I was ready this time-all hell broke generator connected the battery terminals and started with a key. It powered all in the House that I needed too. Update: 12/7/12 (SANDY) Power is gone for days-this generator is supported by no problem. Gas gauge is working-do not realize how much gas owns this thing! About 8 liters. I ran mu fridge, freezer, hot water, lamp, microwave, TV and telephone – and the generator did not stutter. In the back yard, that you can't even hear the front yard. So glad I made this purchase. Pure Protein, Natural Whey Protein, Triple Chocolate Shake, 14 Ounce Tub (packaging my vary)
Tue 15 Jan 2013

Helps you maintain a strong, healthy body and support lean muscle
Packed with 15 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and only 100 calories
Each nutritious serving provides a low fat, great-tasting triple chocolate treat
Helps fuel your body and promote overall health

I loooooooooooove this shake (vanilla and chocolate kind)
I love these shakes and I really really hope that they are not discontinued for a long time! (or ever!!)

I use both the vanill and the chocolate kind (not together). I drink it everyday after my workout. It is very refreshing and I feel like it really has been helping my muscle recovery. Not only that, at only 100 calories it is really filling!

I don't really know why others have complained about the flavor of these shakes. I don't expect this to taste like a full fat milkshake, but it is delicious!! I have never tried just mixing it with water, so that might make a difference in taste, but the way I take it everyday is blended in a blender with a cup of ice and a small amount of water. The less water you put in, the more it actually comes out to taste like icecream! Yum!!

I particularly prefer the vanilla flavor one because I like to dump in 1/2 of a banana everytime I make my shake with one scoop of the protein powder. I have found that the banana in the chocolate doesn't taste as great as with the vanilla. My suggestion, get bananas, peel them, cut them in quarters each, put them in a ziplock bag, and freeze them. When making your shake, put in the cup of ice, a small amount of water (maybe 1/2 cup), half of the frozen banana (2 quarters), and blend away. It is sooooooo tasty!! It has become a great comfort food and reward for me after each workout.

In fact, I just ordered 8 more containers (4 chocolate, and 4 vanilla) to have in hand.

This is probably not allowed to be mentioned, but, if you want to save a few more bucks, get these shakes from Each container costs $10 and shipping is free :)

Go ahead, try this, and be optimistic. The chocolate won't taste like a chocolate bar, but it feels nice and healthy, and does the job.

DESIGNER WHEY The Biggest Loser Protein Powder Supplement, 10-Ounce Canister.
Tue 15 Jan 2013
No artificial sweeteners, lowest calorie whey powder, great results. As a weight loss coach I'm always on the lookout for products that can have a positive effect. I'll be honest. I snickered at the plug for this on the Biggest Loser and said it's obviously just regular whey powder rebranded with their name to sell. (I tend to snicker at many things promoted heavily on tv...this is normal for me.) Okay, I'll own that I was wrong...I never even LOOKED at this product for months but someone in one of my weight loss groups mentioned it so I did. First, it has less than half the calories for the same serving as most whey powders. Maybe all whey powders. I spend a LONG time in stores comparing stats and this beat out the lowest ones I used to use by FAR in it's nutritionals. Second it uses Stevia or Agave as a sweetener depending upon the flavor. it does NOT use sucralose. Stevia and agave are natural and is waaaaay sweeter than sugar so you only need a tiny bit of it in comparison to sugar. (This and Agave are the only low calorie sweeteners that health and all natural markets sell) I refuse to use artificial sweeteners now because I've read too much about them but I never leave the house without my stevia packets. just works. I've used whey powder for years to help with my fitness and weight loss plan. It not only keeps you full, but it helps muscles after a workout. Plus fiber has been shown to assist weight loss which is why it's a huge part of the Weight Watchers plan...and so many other things I could make this review very long by adding. It's just uber good stuff. I personally like to make a smoothie with this powder and add in some fruit. I love the taste of this smoothie. I also just found out they have blueberry flavor and I'm psyched...I've never seen that in a whey powder. The vanilla is great because it gives you a plain base to either utilize on it's own or with other flavorings or fruit. After a mega workout I'll even add a bit of prepared oatmeal and a few teaspoons of all natural peanut butter for a mega filling mega protein boost...but that adds more calories obviously. Also, it's hard for some of the people I work with in losing weight to get their water servings in each day. I suggest adding a little but of the whey protein to the water for both flavor, vitamins, protein etc. It's a win/win all around. I do this as well. Cheaper and healthier than the flavored packets for water and this contains no artificial sweeteners and is packed with goodies for your body so it's a better alternative to flavoring your water or milk if those servings are hard for you to do. This helps me in between meals in a HEALTHY way that assists my weight goals rather than sidetracking them. Kindle Fire HD 8.9"(Best Seller)
Tue 15 Jan 2013
Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi My Thoughts (Typed Using The Kindle Fire HD 8.9) Let me start out by saying that I am new to the tablet world and have had no experience using any tablets prior to this purchase. That being said, I spent a great deal of time fishing around through reviews and specs of what seemed like countless tablets for months. The obvious cliche conclusion led to all fingers pointing at some variation of an iPad, yet for me, I do not see much sense in purchasing a tablet (regardless of brand) for around the same price as a cheap yet descent laptop that will have more potential. Enter the Kindle Fire HD. I will spare you the story on my process of how I ended up choosing a Fire HD and get right to what you all want to know: my thoughts and experience thus far with the product. Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi Picture: (10/10) I will start with this since obviously that was the first thing i noticed. In a word, incredible. Now its not "eye popping" or anything out of this world, but i can honestly say it exceeded my expectations and i was (and continue to be) impressed by this piece of hardware's capabilities. I tested out just a few minutes of TV shows, trailers, videos, and films from Prime Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu Plus, Flixster, and Youtube (through the web browser since an app is currently unavailable) and everything looks as it should (and beautiful to boot)! Books come out crisp as well (both in text and picture) and the same goes for basic website visuals, apps, and games. Overall I am very impressed. Sound: (10/10) This is probably where i was most impressed. I have seen some of the reviews on here that are 3 stars or less putting down the audio or claiming they don't hear the big deal. Not to be a jerk or anything but i recommend those people check in at an ear clinic and have their hearing tested. I was literally amazed at how I was hearing sounds from various distances and angles. From up close it felt like i was hearing a high quality home theater system and not just for one flick but everything. From website audio to music, Netflix to Audiobooks, this tablet sounds great! Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi Book/Reading Features: (10/10) At first this was not my primary reason for purchasing a Fire HD, but after toying around with a few things, I am truly impressed at how well Amazon has integrated the ability to find, purchase, read, and even listen to literature. The lending library for Prime users is a nice added touch allowing you to borrow from a rather extensive list of books. Not to mention many timeless classics are available for free (such as Dracula, Gulliver's Travels, Little Women, The Iliad, The Jungle Book and many more) and of those titles, many come with free audio! If you do not feel like spending the money on audio (or if your book has none available) the text-to-speech feature is surprisingly well done with minimal error. With all this being said, I can honestly say that I am excited to start reading again. Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi Web Browsing: (8/10) The only reason I do not give this a 10 is because web browsing (with what is given out of the box) lacks Flash support which limits the capabilities. However, with a bit of research I was able to find forum discussions on how Fire HD users were able to work around this by downloading an app called ES File Explorer and then a separate browser called Dolphin that gives you Flash capabilities, so this is an easy fix that even a monkey could figure out how to do as long as they are patient. Though don't get me wrong, Silk is fast and beautiful and i use it for the majority of my web surfing, but occasionally Flash is needed. As I am sure you have read by now in other reviews, the fact that the Fire HD does not automatically come with Flash support is not Amazon's fault yet rather Adobe for pulling he plug on their involvement with tablets. Again, as long as your network is put together well, browsing the web is very fast and up to par with dare I say some computers. App Availability: (8/10) To me, this is the only area where the Fire HD lacks. I would rate lower here but I am trusting that over time and after updates, the lineup will have grown. Once more, with a bit of research you can find discussions on how to "sideload" apps from your computer and other devices, but that could be a bit too advanced for the average user. Though for what it is worth, the selection it does currently come with is top notch. Just to name a few, some important missing apps include: YouTube, Dropbox, and SiriusXM. Still, as far as I am concerned, this certainly is not a deal breaker and I am sure that as things progress access to these will become available. Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi Look/Feel: (10/10) The 8.9" model that I own and am currently reviewing was a lot lighter than I expected and it is true what they say ( it is just right to fit in one hand). Out of the box/pre-case the Fire HD looks great and is very thin, sleek, and dare I The only minor gripe I would have (that I noticed other reviewers mentioned) is the volume and power buttons are sometimes hard to find and do not always register, but after a while you get use to it. Aside from that, I love how it appears and functions. Overall: (56/60) There are a few things that by now you may know, such as how out of the box the Fire HD does not come with a wall charger. I know that is a bummer but if you don't already have one roaming around your house from a smartphone or if you cannot tolerate simply charging from your computer, Amazon sells them at a fairly reasonable price. Bottom line? I have purchased over 500 items on Amazon and I rarely feel the need to review a product, but I genuinely felt my voice needed to be heard ( or read rather) with the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. I strongly recommend purchasing this product and if you have any questions, feel free to comment and hopefully either me or someone else can assist you! Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi P.S. This took me forever to type on the Fire HD but it was good practice and hopefully worth it! I would highly recommend a screen protector and a case

Excellent addition to the "man cave"

I did quite a bit of research looking for just the right TV for my game room. This is an important detail when considering any review as well. Not everybody has the same goals. My requirements were at least 50", no extra features, LCD or Plasma, good picture quality, and it had to be inexpensive. I already have a dedicated Media Center PC ready to go and never have liked "smoothing" or 120hz+ effects. Oh, and I wanted it here in time for the 2012 Olympics.

It's being used in a medium sized Media/Game room that measures about 14' x 13', give or take a few inches. There are 2 windows with blinds. And I'm normally sitting about 8-9 feet away. This room has a couple of computers, so it's used as an office / game & media room (aka "man cave").

The TV is only about 2" thick at the outer edge and has 1.5" border around the screen, so it looks very nice and thin. If you include the portion at the back that you can't see, you're a bit over 3" deep. It also only weighs about 40lbs. However, there is a larger "base" at the bottom where the included stand mounts. This base protrudes towards the back almost another ½" than the rest of the TV. This can be an issue when using the low-profile Cheetah APTMM2B mount I purchased as it does limit the angle at which you can adjust downward.

Fortunately at 4' off the ground, and with the help of the spacers that came with the mount, I was able to just barely get the angle I wanted for the TV without touching the wall. That does limit where I can route the cables since there isn't space to run them towards the middle and there is no way any screw driver I have is going to fit or reach from the bottom to tighten the extra support screws. I'll have to get a bendy screwdriver or something to reach from the side; otherwise it's not going anywhere.

I would still prefer that the stand mount at the back like others I've seen (and have), instead of bolting directly to the bottom. That eliminates the need for a larger base that's inevitably going to get in the way.

There is also a small green LED on the front of the TV. Which is good as this TV doesn't make any noises turning on or off. It's dim enough so I never even notice it when I'm watching a movie at night. And it's not one of those LED's that gets super bright when you look at it directly. That's it on the front as all of the physical buttons are hidden behind the recessed backing to the left, including power.

You can easily see from the specs to see what inputs it has. You'll also note I don't list having 2 HDMI ports as a negative. Considering its price and the fact that I'll be eventually hooking this up to a receiver that will handle all HDMI switching, it's not a factor for me.

So how does it look? After its calibrated, it looks excellent. As with most TV's, the default profiles leave much to be desired. My sources are OTA (Over-The-Air) HDTV, Blu-Ray, DVD, and hundreds of other TV shows that I stream or have on the Media Center PC. So far, they've all looked great. Even lower quality content looks decent. I don't currently have cable or satellite.

As with all high resolution displays, lower res content will suffer a bit without upconversion. Fortunately most of what I'm viewing is at least 720p or higher. Or it's already been upconverted. I've been watching the Olympics just about non-stop since it started and I'm still impressed with how good it looks.

One of the most impressive features is just how darn good the contrast ratio and viewing angles are. This has one of the best black levels that I've seen on any LCD. We're talking Plasma or DLP levels here. With LCDs it's very common to to have that greyish tone to "black" levels, especially with movies or dark scenes. Not an issue here. I also have a work bench directly below and in front of the TV and I can easily sit there and watch TV without any issues. It's not a 100% perfect at that sharp angle, but pretty darn good.

The only slight negative is when looking at certain large solid bright or light colored images, you can see some very slight unevenness in the backlighting. You can see some areas that are ever so slightly darker than others. I've seen this effect with other TV's as well. If you think that might bother you, just be aware.

However, I will add that with the many different sources I'm watching, it's rare that I even notice it. And I'm quite sensitive to any imperfections in displays regardless of how minor they are. In many cases, I have a hard time even pointing them out to other people. :) I also noticed you can lessen this by adjusting brightness and backlight settings. So far, it's minor and rare enough that it hasn't bothered me.

I also wanted to use the TV for playing the occasional PC game. I'm using a 25' HDMI cable to hook up my gaming PC on the other side of the room for that very purpose. I simply turned on "Game Mode" and fired up BF3 and Starcraft 2. So far, I haven't run into any input lag and everything looks great. At least none that I've noticed. So as a PC monitor, you're good to go.

It does have a VGA port if you want to use it, but for the best 1080p image, you'll want to stick with HDMI. If you're PC doesn't have that, you can easily find cables or adapters to convert your DVI or DisplayPort to HDMI for a full digital picture.

I wasn't able to find any other professional presets on-line for this TV, so I pretty much started from scratch. This is a combination of adjusting on the fly and a bit of help from the Disney World of Wonder calibration disc. Which I should note, is pretty darn cool. Since some of this is indeed personal preference, you may just want to use this as a starting point and go from there.

Disclaimer: I'm not an A/V "expert" by any means and I'm still playing with these settings. :)

The built-in speakers are what I'd consider to be very average and "typical" for a flat screen TV. They're OK and get the job done. Just don't expect a full or deep range of sound. The options to adjust the speakers are also quite limited in the menu system. I'm running a 700W 5.1 PC surround sound system, so that's not an issue for me.

The remote on the other hand, isn't great. It has all of the right buttons, but it's not universal, and is very picky as to how you're pointing it at the TV. Just the wrong angle or not aimed perfectly at the IR sensor, and it'll ignore your input. So it's a good thing there is that green power LED so I know it turned off/on. At least it gives me an excuse to eventually get another Harmony remote.

+ Thin design
+ Great Value
+ Contrast ratio
+ Color accuracy
+ Viewing angles
+ Picture quality
+ LED Backlit
+ Game Mode

- Remote
- Average speakers?
- Minor image uniformity issue*

Needless to say, I'm very happy with my purchase. Everybody that has seen the TV is equally impressed with the overall picture quality. They immediately assume this TV costs twice what it does. This bright LED backlit TV works great in the "cave" and has minimal glare as a result of the windows in the room. In fact, it's so bright that some may find themselves turning down the backlight at night time.

I also added an asterisk to the "con" for the uniformity I noted as it's so minor it's almost insignificant for my use. But I put it there as an FYI. So if you're purchasing this for something along the lines of what I was looking for, I consider this TV highly recommended. If not, I'm sure you'll still like it. :)

Denon DND4500 Dual CD/MP3 Player.
Mon 31 Dec 2012

Product Description
The DN-D4500 is the successor to Denon's award winning DND4000 and offers many expanded features especially in the area of MP3. Key Adjust, Auto BPM Counter, MP3 Seamless Looping with B-Trim edit, MP3 Hot Starts, MP3 File Search System, MP3 Frame Search, CUE Stutter and wider +/-24/50/100% pitch ranges for audio CD?s are just a few of the enhancements. MP3 File Search System allows you to locate in seconds, hundreds of MP3 tracks on a CD-R/RW by artist name, song title or folder. In addition, MP3 ID3 tags and Audio CD Text are supported on a large, easy-to-read dot matrix flourescent tube display.

Single/Continuous Repeat No Longer Supported

The earlier DN-2100F and DN-2500F models supported Single/Continuous Repeat. It appears that the support has been dropped for this feature. While the current DND-4500 seems to be a faithful upgrade of every other feature, I can find no information on how to have the player Repeat a single track or a single disc.

The new DND-4500 supports the related, but different Single/Continuous Relay Mode. The earlier models supported this feature as well; but we do not want to play from two discs alternately. We are simply trying to repeat one track on one disc.

Loop capabilities are especially awkward to use when one is trying to repeat a CD which has only a single track. There seems to be no easy way to skip to the end of a CD and place the end of loop there.

Product Description
Denon DJ, a leading manufacturer of premium-grade DJ equipment, introduces the DN-MC6000 Mixer and MIDI Controller, a four-channel/eight-source standalone digital DJ mixer with MIDI interface and internal sound card. With an astounding amount of features, real-time channel matrix operation, slim tabletop design, state-of-the-art solid steel chassis construction and quality sound, the DN-MC6000 is one of Denon DJ's flagship controllers. Also acting as an audio interface (with a 2 in/2out stereo soundcard included), the DN-MC6000, when paired with the user's software of choice, is a turnkey control solution for mobile DJs and party DJs, and a clear centerpiece to any DJ rig.

Great Device...

Great controller but there is a bit of a learning curve for set up. The Denon website is poorly designed and has no real instruction video for setup and their support line is a bit rude so you need to figure it out on Youtube.

The Denon MC-6000 comes with the basic Virtual DJ LE software and WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU is that you need to be prepared to spend $149.99 on the VDJ upgrade just to get the basic features like compiling a playlist and this is a bit disingenuous for both companies! I prefer Serato but VDJ works just fine. The layout and esthetics of VDJ are sloppy compared to Serato. And that is evident in the poorly designed VDJ web site that looks like it was designed in 1995. All in all I like the MC-6000 but I wish it had Serato. It would have made it perfect. The MC-6000 is hands down the best controller on the market. I did my research. It's best for pro's anyway.

Denon Mc-6000

I bought this controller, after carrying my NS6 to a few jobs, and realizing how heavy it was! I also, was not a big fan of Serato Itch. I bought the Denon, and am using it with Traktor Pro 2. This machine is a BEAST ! The controls are tight and very responsive. Beat mixing is a breeze, the pitch controls are sensitive, without being too sensitive. I use this setup in a club environment, as well as wedding receptions and parties. I started Dj'ing in 1986, and put off going digital for a long time, but this controller makes it a pleasure!!!

Product Description
The Pioneer DDJ-SX is an advanced performance DJ controller designed specifically for the Serato DJ Software. Pioneer's DDJ-SX Serato based DJ controller utilizes the software as the basis for its configuration and ergonomic design, taking advantage of its features and integrating special trigger pads and controls. Pioneer also implemented larger jog wheels for precise mixing and scratching, multiple inputs for expandability, and 4-channel mixing flexibility.

Goodbye NS7FX

I run a mobile dj business and own the NS7FX, NS6, DDJ-S1, and Traktor S4. This controller is my top pick, hands down.

The new Serato DJ interface is very similar to Itch and Live. crates automatically import over and are ready to use.

Pros: Lightweight (so much lighter then the bulky NS7, as a mobile DJ weight/size matters)
Built Strong
Balanced XLR outs
4 Deck Mixer, can use all 4 in Serato or mix it up with mics and inputs
NEW Serato DJ (mine was one of the first 10,000 and i got a free licence to serato video)
Has Censor button (for making explicit songs clean on the fly)
the CDJ jog wheel is incredible, works perfect, touchsmart like a mac trackpad and feels great
the 8 soft trigger pads are great, works with Roll, slicer, samples and hot cues, really steps up the remixing on the fly
The nobs on the front of the unit pop out and pop back in for easy of transport
Having a dedicated knob for LPF and HPF on all 4 channels is great

Cons: there is no longer a knob for controlling the start/stop time effect, you can go into settings and chose it there
A Few more FX effects would be nice

Overal the controller is very well designed and is mapped and ready to use right out the box with Serato DJ.

Product Description
The Weekender SW kit is designed for anyone that would like the benefit of solar power to charge their batteries, and the ability to use AC appliances when there is no utility power available. For example you can run a microwave, TV, blender, audio sound equipment, computers and more. The Weekender kit contains a 125 Watt solar charging kit and a 1500 Watt pure sine wave inverter system. The Weekender includes everything you need to hook the solar and inverter system up to your batteries and install the solar panel on a flat surface. The Weekender is great for charging your RV, boat, cottage and cabin batteries, while providing you with AC power without the noise of a generator or the fuel and maintenance cost that goes with it. The kit is excellent for weekend and long weekend trips, and is expandable by adding up to two GP-RV-125E expansion kits (each sold separately). This allows you to take advantage of available sunlight for faster charging and added capacity. Go Power! recommends at least a 200 ampere hour battery bank for the Weekender SW kit.

Gone Solar - and glad I did!
I've wanted to go solar with my rv for several years. I've gotten estimates, gone back and forth over what I needed, etc. My rv is small, but my goal was big - to hopefully not ever need my generator. Well, with this system and adding a 2nd solar panel (and 3 more aux batteries) I've done it. I actually had my generator taken out and this system installed. Because I removed the generator, the system was installed through it's connections and I didn't need the controller included. Made installation a tad easier. It's only been a week, but I've been using solar only - and only had one sunny day. The overcast/cloudy days have still recharged the batteries (and I've needed to run my heat every night) and during the sunny day I put things to a test - vacuuming, etc - and it kept up with me.

I can run my microwave, but that's really pulling the charges - so don't intend to while boondocking (I never used the ac when boondocking before, so that's not a loss). I also added another 12 volt connection off the inverter to allow me to do some things (like charge my phone/computer/camera batteries, etc) without pulling as much as the inverter does. Used that every day it was cloudy.

I'm very impressed and wish I'd done this a couple years ago. Better late than never!

Things to consider - the 1500 watt inverter included is strong - if you only have 1 or 2 batteries, you'll need to add a couple if you want to take advantage of this. You'd be able to drain 1 or 2 batteries quickly if you used the power the inverter provides. I went to 4 batteries, and have room for 2 more if wanted. The controller, since I didn't install it, I can't comment on. I also didn't install the remote - as my rig is so small that there is no need for it.

This is still so new to me - will update if things change/occur that should be mentioned.

Review for Rocky:
The only remaining evidence that Sylvester Stallone might have had a respectable career, this 1976 Oscar winner (for Best Picture, Director, and Editing) is still the quintessential ode to an underdog and one of the best boxing movies ever made. After writing the script about a two-bit boxer who gets a "million-to-one shot" against the world heavyweight champion, Stallone insisted that he star in the title role, and his equally unknown status helped to catapult him (and this rousing film) to overnight success. The story is familiar, but it has been handled with such vitality and emotional honesty that you can't help but leap and cheer for Rocky Balboa, the chump turned champ (despite his valiant defeat in the ring) who stuns the boxing world with the support of his timid girlfriend, Adrian (Talia Shire), and grizzled trainer, Mickey (Burgess Meredith). Oscar nominations went to all the lead actors (including Burt Young as Adrian's hot-tempered brother), but four sequels could never top the universal appeal of this low-budget crowd pleaser. --Jeff Shannon

Review for Rocky II:
Beginning precisely where Rocky left off, the surprisingly effective 1979 sequel takes the saga of Rocky Balboa to its logical next step, as the palooka turned public idol and media darling returns to his "normal" life in Philadelphia with his newlywed bride Adrian (Talia Shire) and some degree of material comfort. He needs to find a job, but boxing champ Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) is challenging Rocky to a lucrative rematch, and despite his doctor's warning against future boxing, Rocky can't resist. Defying the odds that most sequels can't live up to their originals, Rocky II doesn't pack all the punch that Rocky did, but it takes us further into the lives of its now-familiar and beloved characters, and Stallone (as director and star) gives us another rousing finale in the ring. Do you really need to know who wins? --Jeff Shannon

Review for Rocky III:
Rocky III: The third installment in the Rocky saga is the last one to matter, and in this case only marginally. The now rich and famous Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) triumphantly pummels a succession of boxing challengers until he encounters Clubber Lang (Mr. T), a human wall of brick who wants a piece of Rocky's action. The Rock's loyal trainer Mickey (Burgess Meredith) has taken ill and dies, so Rocky recruits retired opponent Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) to whip him into fighting shape after his embarrassing defeat to Clubber. Time for another rematch, mixed in with some family matters involving Rocky's brother-in-law Paulie (Burt Young), who's feeling neglected amid all the hoopla. Not bad as sequels go, boosted by Mr. T.'s taunting presence and yet another rousing finale. For those with a bad case of '80s nostalgia, the hit theme song "Eye of the Tiger" is sure to bring back memories. --Jeff Shannon

Review for Rocky IV:
It was time for Sylvester Stallone to say "enough, already" to the boxing hero he plays in the popular Rocky film series, but instead Stallone kept the saga going by pushing Rocky into Rambo territory. The 1985 Rocky IV finds the Italian stallion pitted against a seemingly unbeatable Russian monster named Drago (Dolph Lundgren) who lets his wife (Stallone's then-wife, Brigitte Nielsen) do all the talking. With a mighty punch, Drago has sent Rocky's former opponent and trainer Apollo Creed to an early grave, and the boxer responds with the ultimate challenge. Even the Russians are rooting for Rocky, so it's not hard to guess how the film ends. Despite Stallone's claims to the contrary, this installment was followed by Rocky V in 1990. --Jeff Shannon

Review for Rocky Balboa:
The sixth installment of the Rocky series picks up the story of the Italian Stallion 16 years after the morose Rocky V. And sure, at his advanced age, Sylvester Stallone now looks like one of those sides of beef his character used to pound on. No matter. Somehow you buy the premise after all these years, even if it takes forever for Rocky Balboa to stop wallowing in self-pity (Adrian is dead, his old haunts are demolished) and get down to the business of drinking raw eggs and running up staircases. The business at hand is an unlikely exhibition fight with champion Mason Dixon (Antonio Tarver), which the near-sexagenarian Mr. Balboa has no business accepting. Of course, just as sure as the horns of Bill Conti's theme music are even now trumpeting through your head, the ol' Rock might have a punch or two left in him. Stallone wrote and directed, and there isn't much to say except that the movie steps in its pre-determined paces with a canny sense of what has come before (it's practically an homage to all the previous Rocky pictures, complete with fleeting flashbacks). Burt Young is around again, and Geraldine Hughes makes an appealing, rather chaste female companion for Rocky. Stallone's Rocky has gotten suspiciously articulate over the years, but he still knows how to slouch. If Stallone never forgets that, he can probably keep the franchise rolling. --Robert Horton

Rocky Undisputed collection Blu-ray
Rocky: The Undisputed Collection on Blu-Ray is a must for any Rocky fans. They did great cleaning up the old films and the sound is even more crisp then I remember from my childhood back in the 70's. If you enjoyed the Rocky movies bad enough to want to own the complete set than look no further than this box set. Okay we could probably all do without the Rocky 5 movie which I felt was the one sadly pathetic movie in the series. I do like 1-4 and 6 a.k.a. Rocky Balboa was kind of a cool modern twist even though in reality I think the old Italian Stallion would've been turned into Italian Sausage fighting such a younger current champ. Had they messed up anything of my memories of the Rocky movies I'd say so but they didn't and I'm very happy I never previously purchased any Rocky movies until now. This is truly the best box set I think you can buy for Rocky fans.

Batman Begins:

Batman Begins discards the previous four films in the series and recasts the Caped Crusader as a fearsome avenging angel. That's good news, because the series, which had gotten off to a rousing start under Tim Burton, had gradually dissolved into self-parody by 1997's Batman & Robin. As the title implies, Batman Begins tells the story anew, when Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) flees Western civilization following the murder of his parents. He is taken in by a mysterious instructor named Ducard (Liam Neeson in another mentor role) and urged to become a ninja in the League of Shadows, but he instead returns to his native Gotham City resolved to end the mob rule that is strangling it. But are there forces even more sinister at hand?

Cowritten by the team of David S. Goyer (a veteran comic book writer) and director Christopher Nolan (Memento), Batman Begins is a welcome return to the grim and gritty version of the Dark Knight, owing a great debt to the graphic novels that preceded it. It doesn't have the razzle dazzle, or the mass appeal, of Spider-Man 2 (though the Batmobile is cool), and retelling the origin means it starts slowly, like most "first" superhero movies. But it's certainly the best Bat-film since Burton's original, and one of the best superhero movies of its time. Bale cuts a good figure as Batman, intense and dangerous but with some of the lightheartedness Michael Keaton brought to the character. Michael Caine provides much of the film's humor as the family butler, Alfred, and as the love interest, Katie Holmes (Dawson's Creek) is surprisingly believable in her first adult role. Also featuring Gary Oldman as the young police officer Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as a Q-like gadgets expert, and Cillian Murphy as the vile Jonathan Crane. --David Horiuchi

The Dark Knight:

The Dark Knight arrives with tremendous hype (best superhero movie ever? posthumous Oscar for Heath Ledger?), and incredibly, it lives up to all of it. But calling it the best superhero movie ever seems like faint praise, since part of what makes the movie great--in addition to pitch-perfect casting, outstanding writing, and a compelling vision--is that it bypasses the normal fantasy element of the superhero genre and makes it all terrifyingly real. Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is Gotham City's new district attorney, charged with cleaning up the crime rings that have paralyzed the city. He enters an uneasy alliance with the young police lieutenant, Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman), and Batman (Christian Bale), the caped vigilante who seems to trust only Gordon--and whom only Gordon seems to trust. They make progress until a psychotic and deadly new player enters the game: the Joker (Heath Ledger), who offers the crime bosses a solution--kill the Batman. Further complicating matters is that Dent is now dating Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal, after Katie Holmes turned down the chance to reprise her role), the longtime love of Batman's alter ego, Bruce Wayne.

In his last completed role before his tragic death, Ledger is fantastic as the Joker, a volcanic, truly frightening force of evil. And he sets the tone of the movie: the world is a dark, dangerous place where there are no easy choices. Eckhart and Oldman also shine, but as good as Bale is, his character turns out rather bland in comparison (not uncommon for heroes facing more colorful villains). Director-cowriter Christopher Nolan (Memento) follows his critically acclaimed Batman Begins with an even better sequel that sets itself apart from notable superhero movies like Spider-Man 2 and Iron Man because of its sheer emotional impact and striking sense of realism--there are no suspension-of-disbelief superpowers here. At 152 minutes, it's a shade too long, and it's much too intense for kids. But for most movie fans--and not just superhero fans--The Dark Knight is a film for the ages. --David Horiuchi

The Dark Knight Rises:

Of all the "most anticipated" movies ever claiming that title, it's hard to imagine one that has caused so much speculation and breathless expectation as Christopher Nolan's final chapter to his magnificently brooding Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. Though it may not rise to the level of the mythic grandeur of its predecessor, The Dark Knight Rises is a truly magnificent work of cinematic brilliance that commandingly completes the cycle and is as heavy with literary resonance as it is of-the-moment insight into the political and social affairs unfolding on the world stage. That it is also a full-blown and fully realized epic crime drama packed with state-of-the-art action relying equally on immaculate CGI fakery and heart-stopping practical effects and stunt work makes its entrée into blockbuster history worthy of all the anticipation and more. It deserves all the accolades it will get for bringing an opulently baroque view of a comic book universe to life with sinister effectiveness.

Set eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, TDK Rises finds Bruce Wayne broken in spirit and body from his moral and physical battle with the Joker. Gotham City is at peace primarily because Batman took the fall for Harvey Dent's murder, allowing the former district attorney's memory to remain as a crime-fighting hero rather than the lunatic destructor he became as Two-Face. But that meant Batman's cape and cowl wound up in cold storage--perhaps for good--with only police commissioner Jim Gordon in possession of the truth. The threat that faces Gotham now is by no means new; as deployed by the intricate script that weaves themes first explored in Batman Begins, fundamental conflicts that predate his own origins are at the heart of the ultimate struggle that will leave Batman and his city either triumphant or in ashes. It is one of the movie's greatest achievements that we really don't know which way it will end up until its final exhilarating moments. Intricate may be an understatement in the construction of the script by Nolan and his brother Jonathan. The multilayered story includes a battle for control of Wayne Industries and the decimation of Bruce Wayne's personal wealth; a destructive yet potentially earth-saving clean energy source; a desolate prison colony on the other side of the globe; terrorist attacks against people, property, and the world's economic foundation; the redistribution of wealth to the 99 percent; and a virtuoso jewel thief who is identified in every way except name as Catwoman. Played with saucy fun and sexy danger by Anne Hathaway, Selina Kyle is sort of the catalyst (!) for all the plot threads, especially when she whispers into Bruce's ear at a charity ball some prescient words about a coming storm that will tear Gotham asunder. As unpredictable as it is sometimes hard to follow, the winds of this storm blow in a raft of diverse and extremely compelling new characters (including Selina Kyle) who are all part of a dance that ends with the ballet of a cataclysmic denouement. Among the new faces are Marion Cotillard as a green-energy advocate and Wayne Industries board member and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a devoted Gotham cop who may lead Nolan into a new comic book franchise. The hulking monster Bane, played by Tom Hardy with powerful confidence even under a clawlike mask, is so much more than a villain (and the toughest match yet for Batman's prowess). Though he ends up being less important to the movie's moral themes and can't really match Heath Ledger's maniacal turn as Joker, his mesmerizing swagger and presence as demonic force personified are an affecting counterpoint to the moral battle that rages within Batman himself. Christian Bale gives his most dynamic performance yet as the tortured hero, and Michael Caine (Alfred), Gary Oldman (Gordon), and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox) all return with more gravitas and emotional weight than ever before. Then there's the action. Punctuated by three or four magnificent set pieces, TDKR deftly mixes the cinematic process of providing information with punches of pow throughout (an airplane-to-airplane kidnap/rescue, an institutional terrorist assault and subsequent chase, and the choreographed crippling of an entire city are the above-mentioned highlights). The added impact of the movie's extensive Imax footage ups the wow factor, all of it kinetically controlled by Nolan and his top lieutenants Wally Pfister (cinematography), Hans Zimmer (composer), Lee Smith (editor), and Nathan Crowley and Kevin Kavanaugh (production designers). The best recommendation TDKR carries is that it does not leave one wanting for more. At 164 minutes, there's plenty of nonstop dramatic enthrallment for a single sitting. More important, there's a deep sense of satisfaction that The Dark Knight Rises leaves as the fulfilling conclusion to an absorbing saga that remains relevant, resonant, and above all thoroughly entertaining. --Ted Fry
Product Description
Batman Begins:

Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.

The Dark Knight:

The follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight reunites director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in his continuing war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves effective, but soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces Batman closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante. Heath Ledger stars as archvillain The Joker, and Aaron Eckhart plays Dent. Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Rachel Dawes. Returning from Batman Begins are Gary Oldman as Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.

The Dark Knight Rises:

It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

Just want the Trilogy? This is for you
Disregard all the naysayers claiming this is a money grab. No, it's called having a choice. Not everyone wants the Super Duper Ultra Rare Limited Collector's Edition, that's often filled with a bunch of useless physical items. Some people just want to have the trilogy and nothing more. For $30 (currently), you get just that, and a little bit more. You get the following:

Disc 1: Batman Begins Feature Film
Disc 2: The Dark Knight Feature Film
Disc 3: The Dark Knight Special Features
Disc 4: The Dark Knight Rises Feature Film
Disc 5: The Dark Knight Rises Special Features

PLUS you get a 64 Page excerpted (i.e. shortened) version of the wonderful book: "The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy"

That is tremendous bang for your buck! Not only with the movies, but there are hours and hours of special features included too, including a documentary about the Batmobile. The Ultimate Collector's Edition, which won't be released for another year will no doubt cost at least twice as much. The only thing I have a problem with here is the cover art. It just doesn't look anything like Nolan's Batman. The DVD version of the Trilogy is much nicer looking, it's too bad Warner didn't use the same artwork for the Blu-ray. All in all, this is a wonderful set to get if you don't own any of the movies yet. Heck, even if you do, it's still a great value if you just want The Dark Knight Rises. Consider TDKR will sell for at least $20-25 when released, for just a few bucks more you get the 2 preceding films, and a book. You really can't go wrong here

Update: Here is a list of the Special Features that are likely included. The list may not be all-inclusive. The set has no exclusive features, but rather, the same ones that come with the individual releases

Rather Pay Now
I'd rather pre-order this and save money. I don't really care about special features and extra items too much, the point is to have the film itself. Those who say it's quick money grab, it's his/her choice. It's going to be more expensive in the future. Besides, Not everyone uses the extra content that comes with their special/collectors edition. It's useless to me. I am sticking with this one.

He rises
We are in a golden age of comic book movies right now. No movies show that as perfectly as Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Trilogy" -- three movies that explore the formative years of the legendary superhero Batman, from the beginning of his crusade for justice to the explosive climax. Even people who aren't into capes and tights can appreciate this story.

"Batman Begins": After his parents' murderer is paroled, young bazillionaire Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) vanishes on an aimless journey across the world. He's taken under the wing of the mysterious Henri Ducard (Liam Neeson), who offers to train him to be a member of the League of Shadows. But then Bruce learns that the League plans to annihilate Gotham, his home city.

Gotham has become rotten to the core with mobs, crooked cops and a fear-inducing shrink. Using the company's discarded prototypes, Bruce fashions an armored bodysuit and tanklike vehicle, and uses them to fight crime wherever he finds it. But the League still has plans to destroy Gotham, and the only one who can stop them is Batman.

"The Dark Knight" is feeling pretty good about his battle against crime, especially since the new DA Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) is a morally-upright good-guy. But Batman isn't prepared for the Joker (Heath Ledger) a mad clownish psychopath who has hired himself out to the mob to destroy their worst enemy, the Dark Knight. Even worse, he has the ultimate way of blackmailing Batman into doing what he wants: holding all of Gotham hostage.

"The Dark Knight rises picks up eight years later -- crime is almost gone, Batman has vanished, and Bruce Wayne is a recluse. But then a terrifying masked man named Bane arrives in Gotham, attacking Batman as revenge for the League's destruction. He will turn Gotham into a living nightmare, unless the Dark Knight can rise again...

Most directors would have given these movie a distinctly comic-book, slick pop-culture feel. But no matter how hard you search, there's not a single hint in "The Dark Knight Trilogy" that anything kitschy or campy came before it, or that it was originally a comic book. Instead Christopher Nolan creates a movie as dark, tightly-wound and intense as Batman himself.

But since this is a comic-book movie, Nolan peppers them with kinetic action, high-speed chases and massive explosions. The dialogue is drizzled with dry humor ("That isn't exactly what I had in mind when I said I wanted to inspire people"," Batman says, looking at a bunch of impersonators), mostly to temper the overhanging sense of horror and apprehension.

The most striking part of these movies is Nolan's delving into morality, and the darker side of human nature. He heaps more tragedy and trauma on Batman than just his parents' death, and delicately traces the moral boundaries -- or lack of them -- between Batman and his foes.

Christian Bale is simply brilliant as Bruce Wayne/Batman -- sure, his growly voice can get a bit silly at times, but he perfectly conveys the strength, pain and determination of a man who will sacrifice everything to save others. Michael Caine is awesome as his faithful butler/father figure, and there are solid backing performances by Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman.

And the performances of the villain actors are absolutely brilliant. Everybody knows of the late Heath Ledger's spellbindingly chilling performance as the Joker, a casually corrosive creature who believes himself to be the yin to Batman's yang. But Tom Hardy and Liam Neeson are also brilliant as cunning, clever people who are determined to destroy Gotham.

The biggest problem is that Nolan isn't very good at casting women. Maggie Gyllenhaal and the pouty Katie Holmes are both hideously miscast as the cruel, manipulative Rachel Dawes, who treats Bruce's heart like a toy. Anne Hathaway is the best of the bunch -- a pretty baffling choice as Catwoman, but she does a decent job.

"The Dark Knight Trilogy" contains some of the best superhero movies ever made -- a dark, gritty, richly-imagined tale of one man's quest against chaos and evil.

A Great Way to Meet the Gift Giving Needs
I have 9 grandchildren that live in different states and countries and gift giving can be a challenge to get them what they want so I started giving gift cards. Giving an Amazon gift card removes the hassle of being sure a certain store is convenient for them to shop, especially for the two granddaughters that live in Ukraine. They just go online and download books they want to read and it saves me tons of money on postage but still shows that I remembered their birthday, Christmas or any other special occassion. First fish oil without fishie burps!!!,

This product really stands up to what they claim. I've tried dozens of fish oil capsules over the years (even vegan omega-3... which still tasted fishie 30 minutes later, even without the fish!). I take 1-2 of these Krill Oil Gold before a meal, eat the meal, and get no fish burps afterwards. It's like I never took it in the first place!
